Twistage's comprehensive metadata management simplifies searching, sorting, and organizing audio content. Audio content can also be grouped into playlists, enabling a "set it and forget it" experience. There are two kinds of playlists: static and dynamic.
The Twistage management console makes it easy to create dynamic playlists by specifying the criteria that should be used to select audio tracks.
Static playlists allow users to group audio content together and access them as a collection of content. Using a point-and-click tool, users can search for content and select items to be added the playlist. The playlist can then be ordered according to the user's preference. Once it has been created, a static playlist doesn't change unless a user explicitly revisits the playlist, modifies it, and applies the changes.
Unlike static playlists, which explicitly require user intervention to update, dynamic playlists update themselves. To create a dynamic playlist, a user simply has to set criteria. For example, a user could create a dynamic playlist that lists the ten most recent audio tracks in the category "politics" that are between 15 and 30 minutes, have been played at least 50,000 times, and were uploaded by a particular user. After it has been created, the playlist will dynamically update, automatically including newly uploaded tracks that meet the playlist criteria.
