Channel Partner Model

Most content management systems support the concept of segmenting content into separate accounts, so that an authenticated user can only access their own content. Although a single system may store information about thousands or even millions of different user accounts, each user's view of the system is filtered so that they only see what they are authorized to see. This is a common model used especially in cloud-based service offerings, including free services for individuals such as web-based email accounts or social networks, as well as B2B products such as CRM service offerings.

Twistage goes one level further with its Channel Program. Twistage Authorized Channel Partners are granted a special type of account that has been enhanced with the ability to create and manage sub-accounts. Each sub-account created by a channel partner has access to all the same media management capabilities as a standard Twistage account. This includes all the built-in ingest tools, content management capabilities, playback capabilities, integrations with third-party services, and analytics.

Twistage Channel Partner accounts are designed for customization, however. Each partner account can brand the management console using the product name, color scheme, and logo of its choosing. Channel Partners can also impose additional controls over the accounts they manage. For example, a partner might offer limited access to certain features, or hide other features altogether so that they never appear within the user interface. Configuration of a Channel Partner account is done entirely through the Twistage management console and can be updated at any time.
