Twistage has built-in support for on-premise storage and/or delivery, in which the content never leaves the premises of an organization. This is often desirable in enterprise scenarios in which licensing or security concerns forbid the storage of content remotely or the use of a remote encoding service. Twistage can be integrated with such a system whether or not the system allows in-bound HTTP requests. Twistage also supports a hybrid scenario, in which some of the content is hosted on your premises while other content is available over the public Internet. For example, a broadcaster might want to ensure that all source video content is locked down and inaccessible while still requiring that transcoded content gets delivered to syndication partners. In such a case, Twistage can be configured to use multiple storage locations and delivery mechanisms, leveraging separate infrastructure for private and public content.
